charlotte_olympia_lfw_hair.jpgThe Wella Professionals team kindly invited us backstage before the Charlotte Olympia SS12 presentation yesterday to check out how they were creating the 1940's Miami Beach Glamour-style hair to go with the distinctly seaside-themed shoes.

Described by team director Panos Papandrianos as 'a girl just back from the beach' look with a nod to 40's Hollywood glam, the result was different for every model - some were being styled with tongs, other waved with big-barrelled crimpers, and one girl even wore a styled wig.

The 40s element came from the fringe - swept to one side and pinned into place. the style was created by spritzing dampened hair with Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier, which acts like a primer to make hair more managable, and then followed by Wella Professionals Shape Control MousseWella Professionals Create Character was used to add a slightly dryer, beach texture, before a layer of Wella Professionals Super Set Hairspray to hold it all in place! A beautiful and really easy look to recreate. Check after the cut for more backstage images.

Oh and of course we had to snap some pictures of the absolutely beautiful shoes - check them out at Shoewawa)!
