Neons weren't just on the clothes at London Fashion Week, faces were also made up in all manner of bright pinks, yellows, purples, blues and greens. Indie designers took the helm for this statement-making beauty trend, these two looks are by MAC Cosmetics for Meadham Kirchhoff and Mary Katranzou respectively.
Lead makeup artist Fiorrie White was inspired by "Warhol images, Courtney Love, Elizabeth Taylor and PJ Harvey" for the Meadham Kirchhoff show. MAC Pro Genuine and Primary Yellow Paint Sticks were used on cheeks, HI-Def Cyan, Pure White, Basic Red and Processed Magenta Paint Sticks colored eyes, with the same colors mixed on lips.
The focus was narrowed down a bit more to the lip at Mary Katranzou.
"It's all about odd colors and the rest of the face is very clear and fresh," said lead artist Val Garland. "Think smashed up cars ... natural elements mixed with metallics."
The blue lip was achieved with Mac Pro White Full Coverage spread over lips as a base with Pigments applied on top.
