mark_fast_hair_ss12.jpgOur Editor-in-Chief Gemma went to the Mark Fast SS12 show (check out her review at CatwalkQueen.tv) and absolutely raved about the hair, so we had to check it out. She's a girl of great taste clearly because it was beautiful - 1920's inspired faux-bobs created by James Pecis of TIGI.

To get the short length, a platform of hair was created by backcombing a ridge from ear to ear, which the lengths of the hair were tucked into, and then even more backcombing gave the voluminous look.

The marcel waves were created using metal clips to make indentations and a beachy texture (a lot of beach texture hair this season) took it into more modern territory and away from the lacquered look of the 20s.

Make up, by Maybelline, matched the desert theme of Fast's collection - a gorgeous burnt orangey-gold shadow was applied to eyelids, all the way up to the brow, with a brighter gold in the centre, all set off with fluttery lashes.

One of our favourite makeup looks from London Fashion Week by far.
