sass_and_bide_hair_ss12.jpgIf I were a stylist in charge of the hair of 20 models, you would probably see a lot of wet-look hair on the catwalk they appeared on (I am not a great manager of time) not so for ghd though, who chose to adorn their models with tiny (and time-consuming) cornrows at Sass and Bide's SS12 show.

Like a lot of other shows this season, there was wet-look involved too: hair - in a centre parting - was slicked down either side of the head while six intricate, identically sized cornrows ran down to the nape of the neck, where they were all plaited into a braided knot at the base of the neck.

Makeup (by MAC) was Glam Rock style, and all about the brows: pencil in the same shade as the model's hair was used to give them a stretched but not over-the-top shape, and then topped with powder to matte them down. MAC Lip erase was used to take the colour out of lips, to give the brows and metallic shades used on the eyes more emphasis, and skin was fresh and glowing again, - looks like healthy bright looking skin is going to be a big trend for next summer. Thanks to ghd for bringing us backstage with them!
