lamb_nyfw_ss12_beauty.jpgAs you might have expected, the beauty at Gwen Stefani's fashion line L.A.M.B at her SS12 New York Fashion Week show yesterday had a rock edge just like the designer - although that wasn't actually the inspiration - the look was apparently based on 'the beauty of Indian women', to go with the maharaja theme of her collection.

Models sported a strong look created by Charlotte Willer for Maybelline: skin was kept dewy and fresh, with thick, dark, statement eyebrows and slanted, angular bad-girl eyes - created with eyeliner and grey shadow - taking centre stage. Nails were painted with Essie's not-yet-released grey-blue Bobbing for Bubbles polish. Hair was piled roughly up into knots top of the models heads using Pantene products, with wispy tendrils softening the style around the face to balance out the powerful makeup.
