New York Fashion Week Trend Alert: Wet-look hair

Well it looks like our hair-dryers may be unnecessary come Spring/Summer 12 - wet-look hair has been a key theme coming through in the New York Fashion Week shows over the past few days.
Models at Alexander Wang, Victoria Beckham, Custo Barcelona, Rebecca Taylor, Prabal Gurung, Helmut Lang and BCBG Max Azria all sent their models down the runway with locks that, if they weren't actually, looked soaking wet. At Alexander Wang, hair was given a saturated look from root to tip using Redken's Full Frame 07 All-Over Volumizing Mousse; at Custo Barcelona hair was made wet at the crown, and then the dry remainder pulled into sleek ponytails. We went backstage at Rebecca Taylor, where fresh-from-the-beach wet hair was the inspiration - stylist Emma from Cutler salon explained , "It's 90's inspired, slicked back, like she went to the beach with her hair in a bun, got it wet and then let it loose."
So will you be forsaking your hairdryer next summer to try this? It would be nice pretending that wet hair in the office is a style statement, rather then have people know the truth (overslept, no time to blow dry, it happens). Thoughts?
