And London Fashion Week begins! We were up bright and early this morning to go backstage for the first show of the season, Paul Costelloe, thanks to the lovely guys at Bourjois!
The look for the show was a bright, healthy 'Parisian doll', and all about the eyes. Models were given a base of Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and a pinky blush on the apples of the cheeks to give a pretty, full-of-life glow. The eyes were full on drama while still keeping the pretty vibe - bright, mediterranean blue eyeliner was used to cover the entire lid in a semi-circle shape, with a darker blue shadow layered over and on the crease to give it depth. A superfine liner along the lashline gave some definition, and Bourjois Volume Glamour mascara was dabbed onto the top and base lashes, almost till clumpy, to give a wide-eyed, doll-like effect. Eyebrows were kept mostly natural, just brushed, and dusky pink Sweet Kiss Naturel lipstick was used to keep lips looking smooth. Long, almond shaped false nails were stuck on and given a few coats of Essie's pale lilac Nice is Nice polish.
As for hair, it was curled with rollers, put into a ponytail which was then folded over the front of the head, pushed into a bun-like poof and then the curled tendrils were tied down with string. Phew!
A great look for Paul Costelloe, and really exciting to see created. Thanks Bourjois! Check after the jump for more backstage images.
