YSL's Holiday collection is absolutely gorgeous.
The collection is a tribute to the iconic Yves Saint Laurent tuxedo, so is centred around black and whites in different textures to enable you to translate the sophistication and style - and even fabrics - of the tux to your eyes and nails.
Its inspiration aside, it's a really strong collection: the masterpiece of the range is the Palette Noir Terriblement (above centre): a palette of four variations of black, and a shimmering white (Black velvet, black silk, black moiré, black lamé and white satin to be exact). Making sure it's a must have for the party season, it can also be worn around the wrist thanks to a pleated, embroidered belt that comes wrapped around it.
The Palette Smoking Blanc is the flip side of Noir Terriblement: three beautiful shades of highlighter - shimmering silver, shimmering pink and shimmering violet to illuminate the face.
Also in the collection are two new Ombres Duolumières palettes, °39 gold lamé / velvet black (right), and my favourite, °41, Silver moiré / Black Flannel (left); Duo Terriblement Noir, a set of two black nail polishes, one matte and the other glossy, which I can imagine creating some really sleek manicures with, and a three shades of Golden Gloss lipgloss.
