Beyoncé's video for her new single Countdown (which Andrea showed you the teaser for a few days ago) is a veritable feast for the eyes in terms of hair and makeup - the singer switches between a multitude of looks taken from the 50's, 60's and 80's and jumps from bold colour to monochrome.
With winged eyeliner, fake eyelashes, an updo with a swept aside fringe and almond-shaped orange nails, the singer first channels the mod look, which she follows with the bowl cut Andrea wasn't sure about, paired with elaborate pastel green eye-makeup and pink lips.
Beyoncé plays the part of several more characters throughout the video: wearing a Brigitte Bardot-esque headscarf and flicked eyeliner; in all black with an Audrey Hepburn style bun; vivid, angled eyeshadow that flashes between neon hues to match her leotard; a Supremes-inspired silver dress paired with super-glam, 60's girl group makeup and a volumous bob; and at the end, 80's style loose hair straight from Fame.
