Hollywood's favorite bubbly blonde is flexing her acting chops in a more serious film than her usual romantic comedy fair this year in "The Reluctant Fundamentalist". So obviously she had to dye her hair brown. Ugh, Hollywood, I hate you. I know this is a function of Kate Hudson in particular wanting to be seen in a different light and distance herself from her lighter, less intellectual roles. But couldn't she do that with, you know, her acting. Perhaps enlightening audiences that someone can be funny and serious - multidimensional even - regardless of their hair color. I know, I'm reading too much into this. But on the heels of Mindy Kaling's brilliant evisceration of Hollywood screenwriters and big movie studios' treatment of female characters in The New Yorker, I can't help but be peeved by this.
