I came across this week's Nails of the Week choice when researching for my review of Deborah Lippman's Stormy Weather created with Narciso Rodriguez. Seems like the blogger behind The Ultimate Makeup agrees with my extreme approval of the shade. This is also a good picture because I felt Stormy Weather came out much more medium gray than most the photos I've seen online which make it look much darker and closer to black than a true gray. This is a good representation of the real life color.
What makes the manicure special is the gradient glitter which is focused on the tip of the nail and trails off towards the nail bed. She used Deborah Lippmann's Today Was a Fairytale for the affect. She describes it thus: "a beautiful explosion of silver shimmer and glitter chunks which includes virgin diamond powder! How cool is that?" Cool, indeed.
