Chanel_pre_fall_beauty.jpgChanel showcased their pre-fall collection for 2012 earlier this week (for the fashion, check out Catwalk Queen here) and the beauty look was a far departure from the look we saw for their SS12 show, taking the lead from the decadent Indian inspired collection - which, of course, meant kohl.

Chanel's Creative Director for makeup Peter Philips told Style.com, "we wanted a graphic interpretation of an iconic Indian beauty ideal."

To keep the eyes the focus, skin was kept simple with Perfection Lumiere foundation and a bit of Chanel Joues Contraste Blush in Brume d'Or to add some colour, lips kept nude, and eyebrows were bleached out. The "mysterious, rock 'n' roll" eyes were achieved using layers of black; Illusion d'Ombre in Nirvana around and under the eyes, fanned out into a wing, Chanel's Le Crayon Kohl Eyeliner in Noir in the waterline and Inimitable Intense mascara to create a really deep, dark look. Golden highlights around the eyes and cheeks finished of the look, offsetting the rock eyes with golden, glowing angelic skin.

We also got a glimpse of what is sure to be one of next years hit nail colours, the golden Chanel Le Vernis Diwali, after the Hindu festival of light. Beautiful.
