Running around doing some last minute shopping? You know you want a new red lippie for Christmas or a sparkly shadow for New Year's Eve. Well, NARS Cosmetics has that and much more in their Holiday 2011 Collection. The most exciting product, in my opinion, is the Arabian Nights eye palette, $45, which is a limited edition. There's also a new multiple - The G-Spot ($39) - that will be part of the permanent collection.
The look for Holiday 2011 from NARS is clearly all about that eye, but don't forget about those red lips either!
The NARS Joyous Red Lipstick, $24, is an amber red that is festive and makes a statement, without leaving you feel self-conscious if you're not used to a really bold lip. This lippie is limited edition so snap it up now.
The NARS Mandchourie Eye Shadow Duo, $33, is just the thing if you've been resisting blue eye shadow. These are not the shades you played with as a tween. Sophisticated gold-infused denim and a rich navy make a sophisticated pair. Use a wet flat brush to line the eye with navy to really make eyes pop. This will be part of the permanent collection.
The only other Multiple I have is the classic Orgasm. The NARS G-Spot Multiple, $39, is a rich, gold-infused rose which is a much deeper color and I like it a lot more for using on my lips as well as my cheeks.
I didn't get to try this out, but I am enamored of the Nars Arabian Nights Eye Shadow Trio, $45. The black with red pearls, black with purple pearls and black with gunmetal shimmer look really fun to work with and like they'd give you a super fun party look for New Year's Eve or beyond.
