Airports tend not to be the most glam of places- or somewhere you'd ever go if you didn't have a plane to catch- but this may all change with Imagine Spa at Heathrow Terminal 5.

To get there you need to catch a bus from the terminal which drops you straight at the hotel, but you do have to pay (around £8 for a return).

Once there you and relax in the large hotel lobby- or head straight to the spa area for some top to toe pampering. The Spa has been awarded 5 stars, so you can already guess it has all the amenities you'd want and is a lifesaver for a tired traveller. We went down to investigate and here's what we got up to.

The Thermal Suite

The pool is beautiful to look at, a massive figure of eight and a lovely blue colour. It's surrounded by a variety of fun rooms to try out, from a salt grotto (with lovely crystals) an aroma steam room, sauna and even an ice fountain! It's great to dip in and out of each room and the warm hydrotherapy pool is the perfect temperature, filled with different jets and water nozzles for a relaxing dip.

Treatment Rooms

There are eight rooms for treatments which are decorated very stylishly- and one contains a heated Hammam table which can be hosed down after use, so you can jump straight in the pool! They use Mii Cosmetics on the face if you need a cover up after a facial and the range is lovely.

The Serail Mud Chamber

This is a fun idea, and one you can share with a friend. You apply mud all over and get to enjoy a herbal steam bath before hosing all the product off- great for best mates.. or a special someone.

Chill-out Area

Soft music, free juice and apples and super comfy seats make this a great place to sit and reflect after the hard work of using the hydro pool and the various saunas!

I left planning my next trip back- well, wouldn't you?
