Kate Winslet has been preparing for red carpets for 20 years now so it's obvious that she would have picked up some good beauty tips along the way.
It also means that the actress has been getting things right and wrong frequently enough to learn what works and what doesn't, and now she's got herself a sturdy set of beauty rules that she follows to make sure she look glamorous, but never overdone.
"Glamour to me is about remaining graceful and understated," she told the Daily Express. "For example, with very bold lip colours you can't overdo the rest of your face. With a bright red party lipstick just go with lots of mascara and keep everything else clean."

"I love Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge Lipstick because it lasts," she said. "Unless you spend the whole night snogging, you won't need to reapply."
