With her dark hair and porcelain complexion, there is nowhere for an errant flaw or enlarged pore to hide on Rooney Mara's skin in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Enter makeup guru Pat McGrath, who did the makeup for the film.

To prep Mara's skin, McGrath used SK-II LXP Ultimate Revival Cream, $350 (side note: whoa) to create a translucent, radiant glow. The actress's very minimal makeup displayed the revitalizing effects of the Ultimate Revival Cream.

Keep in mind this is also the go-to skin care brand for fellow luminous beauty Cate Blanchett.
