Michelle Williams' make up for the Golden Globes was fine - understated, but nice, which is what we're used to from her - but we have no idea what she was thinking with that headband.
If I'm going to look past the fact that I don't think it was necessary in the first place (something I'm sure Coco Chanel, advocate of taking off an accessory before leaving the house, would agree with) but if she had to wear a headband, why did she pick this black strap thing? Way too chunky for her cropped hairstyle, and just aided her already frumpy Jason Wu dress in making her look even more mumsy. Something subtle would have been much better.
Charlize Theron also decided to wear a headband, but she on the other hand, picked a pretty sparkly silver band, perfectly in keeping with the style of her Dior gown and her delicate features.
I also wish I was able to appear to be wearing so little make up, and still look as amazing as Charlize does here. Kudos to her make up artist.
