And we're off! New York Fashion Week AW12 kicks off for us with the beauty at the BCBG Max Azria show, and it's a nice simple look to ease us in.
The look for this show, created by Maybelline artist Charlotte Willer, was all about being "healthy, fresh and effortless - something you might see on the modern girl walking down the street", so skin was mostly neutral with just a barely-there touch of coffee coloured blusher on the apples of the cheeks (as you can see being applied below in the image they tweeted from backstage) and lips given a coating of glossy lip balm.
The eyes were the focus of this look (keeping with the everyday beauty theme), with an elegonated flicked graphic-style line created with Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black.
Hair was pulled back into low, sleek ponytails and a wispy front section took way some of it's severity and gave the style some movement as the models walked. A catwalk look we can definitely bring to real life!
