I was initially a little wary of the Ormedic Balancing Lip Enhancement Complex from Image Skincare.
My lips were dry and suffering from winter chapping but I wasn't sure a lip cream designed to look after lips which were recovering from fillers would be the answer. I'm no stranger to lip fillers, but currently my lips were au naturel and the small tube of the Image Ormedic Lip Complex sat on my desk for a while. It wasn't till a recent holiday when I was desperately packing last minute (as usual) that the cream came out and was popped into my bag without a second thought.
It turned out to be my most valuable possession on the trip- I spent three weeks in Egypt during which the temperature ranged from boiling to freezing (city and desert weather) and this little lip salve was a true and trusty companion. It gave the lips the feeling of instant hydration, a beautiful glossy look that never turned gloopy and soothed stinging cuts to such an extent that the boyfriend even borrowed it.
The Lip Complex is also intended to add volume to the lips, and I didn't really notice this effect other than the increased size the gloss finish gave them but their claim of up to 'to 40% more moisture, volume and reducing fine lines with repeat usage', rang completely true. If you use this after fillers you'd concentrate more on the vermillion border but I used it everywhere and my lips have never felt so soft.
It is an expensive product, but it's packed full of great ingredients which make this a little easier to bear, and the polypeptide lip complex made my lips feel so much softer and fuller and dealt with challenging weather conditions.
It's suitable for everyday wear or after you've had a treatment and I'm so impressed with the Image Skincare range, this lip treatment is literally that- not a balm or salve, an actual treatment that changes the condition of the lips. I'm a huge fan and love the feel of it on my face and the results speak for themselves.
