We had a great time over the last five days at London Fashion Week watching all the models being prepped, brushed, plaited, backcombed, blow dried, painted, sprayed and curled, which was great fun for us, but possibly not so much for them (although I didn't see a single girl complain).

In fact now and again (at the shows with really extreme make up) we wondered if they had another show afterwards and if so, how they would get the green body glitter or yellow wig glued all over them. I mean, last season we saw a girl turn up for a show - where the look was poker straight hair - 10 mins before it started with a crimped mane, and we really felt for her and the five hairdressers who had to set upon her and make it smooth. But that's nothing compared to turning up to your next show painted green.

Mercedes Benz, who were the sponser of London Fashion Week, filmed some videos of some of this season's models getting around shows in their Storm cars, and it was interesting to see one girl in the video above who had to unravel her elaborate, braided hair on the way to another show. She looked a bit teary too - it must be quite overwhelming sometimes. So we thought we'd just say - well done girls, you did great. Now go and get someone to give you a nice restorative hair mask.
