Hayley Williams of the band Paramore has been a hair muse of mine since I saw the video for Misery Business, in which she rocked her signature yellow-fade-to-orange locks way before ombre hair was a trend. Despite her tomboy style at the time, she still took a lot of beauty risks - you'll see in that same video she rocked leopard-print extended eye shadow and winged liner.

I like to think of Hayley as having picked up the punk rock beauty mantle after Gwen Stefani evolved to a more chic and high end look. There isn't a lot of colorful, non-Goth beauty inspiration for rock music fans to emulate. But Hayley is a clear trend-setter. Just search for Hayley Williams tutorials on YouTube and you'll find hair and makeup looks for nearly all of Paramore's videos and just general how-tos for her many hair colors.

Hayley's look has evolved, as well. She started out with a very '90s skater-chick style, and has since sported quite a few more glam pin-up inspired looks as she's matured and developed her personal style. That's not to say she hasn't had a few misses, her purple hair with red bangs wasn't a great moment. But overall I think her risks pay off. Take a look!
