Anne Hathaway hair.jpeg

We've seen Anne Hathaway don wigs for roles before, but this looks real. Like we can see scalp real. The new cut is more of a masculine style than the classic pixie, but Hathaway's feminine features stand up well under the increased scrutiny. She has always been compared to Audrey Hepburn, after all.

The big change - the star is mostly known for her long, princessy hair - comes for her role in the Tom Hooper-directed film adaptation of Les Miserables. Hathaway plays Fantine, a mother who turns to prostitution and selling her hair to support her young daughter. The new take on the classic book and musical also stars Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe.

There were also rumors that Hathaway was trying to lose some serious weight to play the role of the sickly prostitute dying of tuberculosis, but Anne's rep insists she's eating healthily and only wants to look a bit more frail.

Above, the star is seen leaving London hot spot the Box where she was seen with fiance Adam Schulman. Not many women would chop off all their hair before their wedding! But Anne is a bold sort!
