LaqueCouture_vrac.jpgIt seems like just yesterday I was gushing about YSL's Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stains and here they are again with another new collection!

YSL's La Laque Couture are thirty rich shades of nail enamel that reference parts of YSL's history (for example, Tuxedo Black inspired by his iconic creation and Blue Majorelle - below - after the blue-walled garden where Yves Saint Laurent's ashes are scattered) as well as original colours inspired by new and past Yves Saint Laurent Couture collections.

We tried three colours from the massive collection: Rose Futuriste, a fuschia pink; Bleu Cobalt, a sapphire blue and Rose Renaissance, a rose pink.

As usual, quality is great: the formula is just the right amount of runny. I'm always impressed by an especially effective brush, and I really love this one: the press release says that the patented tip 'glides like a caress' which initially I thought seemed a bit much, but it really does, depositing a good amount of product per swipe. The rounded end is also great for applying right at the base. Here come the swatches) please excuse my poor application, I couldn't wait for it to dry):

My favourite colour of the three was Bleu Cobalt which doesn't show up that great in pictures but has a lovely iridescent, shimmery quality, and actually looks beautiful in just one coat (but these swatches are two):
