Zooey Deschanel is pretty amazing. Of course the movie career that made us all fall in love with her, a successful recording career with her two-person band She & Him, her super funny TV show New Girl, she has those nostalgic yet not cheesy cotton commercials, the Rimmel London contract, her new iPhone commercials and now she is the new face (or hair) of Pantene. Let's hope this adorkable beauty doesn't get oversaturated.
You can look for Zooey in TV, print and online ads for the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Collection beginning in August.
"I am so excited to be a part of the Pantene family," Deschanel told PEOPLE. "Anyone who knows me knows that I am really into hair. I'm a real girly girl and love doing my hair and experimenting with different styles."
She says Pantene products help cut down on her styling time.
"I washed my hair last night with the products, went to bed with my hair wet and when I woke up my hair looked really great. That's half the battle! It makes my life easier."
The Beautiful Lengths Collection features shampoos, conditioners and styling products designed to prevent breakage and split ends to help women grow their hair longer.
"The products are fantastic but they also support the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Program, which is a wonderful cause," Deschanel said, referring to the company's plans to donate more than $1 million to create wigs for women battling cancer. "They're helping to provide confidence. You can't put a price on that."
Calling the actress a "breath of fresh air," Procter & Gamble marketing director Kevin Crociata says Deschanel is "such a great fit for Pantene. Her captivating personality and distinctive beauty make it hard not to like and relate to her."
