clarins_hand_and_nail_treatment_cream.JPGHave you been down to a Clarins counter lately? If you have, you might have noticed that they've gone all out for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee - there's patriotic bunting as far as the eye can see. As Royal Warrent holders, they're showing their support for our Majesty's 60 years on the throne in a major way: until the 10th June, the Clarins counters in all four Selfridges stores (London, Birmingham, Manchester Trafford and Manchester Exchange Square) are offering a Royal Hand Treatment to customers free of charge!

Obviously in the name of good reporting I had to give it a try, so I went to their counter in the Oxford Street store yesterday and left 15 minutes later with beautifully radiant arms. The treatment starts with a hot rub with Clarins Eau Des Jardins Uplifting Shower Gel (so fragrant it's like aromatherapy), followed by an exfoliation with the excellent Smoothing Body Scrub, a soak in the HydraQuench cream-mask and then a hand and arm massage to work in the Hand & Nail Treatment Cream which is the basis of their royal celebrations (rumour has it it's the queen's favourite product) mixed with a bit of Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil (also great on nails, said my therapist, Rosie) to give it a boost of moisture.

Seriously the difference is incredible - Rosie did one arm first so I could see the result side-by-side and I actually couldn't believe it - my skin was so much brighter. I still can't stop looking at them, which must look really weird to everyone else in the office. Aside from a bit of free pampering, it's also really useful getting to spend some time with a Clarins expert - they have loads of tricks and secrets to using the products in ways you wouldn't have thought of. And did I mention it's free? FREE!

If that's not enough, Clarins are also supporting the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust - they've produced a Limited Edition double sized version of their excellent Hand & Nail Treatment Cream (enriched with shea butter, myrrh extract and sesame oil and with record breaking absorbing speed). The double sized tube is £26 (but worth £38) and for each one sold, Clarins will donate £1 to the charity. Best Jubilee beauty celebrations so far? We think so.

Buy The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Edition Hand and Nail treatment cream for £26 at Selfridges and go get your complimentary Royal Hand Treatment at the Clarins counter before the 10th June.
