Hidden in Pimlico lies a secret spa that offers Moroccan themed massages and treats. Down an innocuous road hidden below a fitness centre there is another world, one full of scented candles, lounge cushions and muted teak hallways. This is the Dolphin Square Spa and this is my review!

I entered the spa curiously as the location down a staircase by a pool of chlorine seemed unusual but inside there lay an oasis of calm. Muted lighting, a personalised robe and shower slippers (the spa called ahead to check my size) and a free sachet of scented shower stuff inside my locker.

I had opted for the Bespoke massage and after some time hanging out in the relaxation room I was led to a dimly lit room scented with lemongrass. The 4000 square foot spa has a number of treatment rooms and mine was cosy and comfortable. I lay on the bed and let the therapist start kneading out the knots in my shoulders.

She started by letting me select the oils used and I was surprised that I picked lavender- a scent I normally hate- but purely distilled it smelled great. The massage involved a serious of light and hard strokes that left me purring in relief as the tension eased from my back and when it was finished I was lead to the relaxation room again and given tea.

I felt recharged and awake and loved the layout of the spa- it was like a hidden beauty labyrinth below Pimlico.

The bespoke massage at Dolphin Square Spa costs from £39 for 25 minutes. Read more about it here.
