Yesterday we attended the launch of Marc Jacob's newest perfume, Dot, which we have been very excited about, I'm sure you'll have realised. We fell in love with the ladybird and butterfly-inspired bottle at first sight, and on trying the scent it's fair to say it's a complete package, because we've fallen in love with that too.
The fragrance is inspired by Marc Jacob's penchant for polka dots, a 'personal signature' of his that he's been using frequently in his collections since his very first one. According to Marc, the polka dot is an "iconic symbol of charm and elegance - a stylish, offbeat motif that is energetic and full of life" - characteristics definitely evoked in Dot!

A lush, juicy floral, it opens with a burst of sweetness from the top notes of red berries, dragonfruit and honeysuckle, which mellows out as the heart comes in: jasmine, coconut water and orange blossom, before drying down into warm notes of vanilla, driftwood and musk.
It's really a beautiful fragrance: refreshing, vivacious and lush - great staying power too, it's lasted ten hours on me so far - and without a doubt my favourite of all of the Marc Jacobs perfumes yet (trust us, we know them all intimately!). It'll be exclusive to Harvey Nichols from July 7th before going nationwide on the 25th, with prices starting from £37 for the 30ml Eau de Parfum. Our advice? Make sure you're first in line.
Next thing to get excited about? That make up line...
Oh and I had to show you the Dot-themed cake pops from the launch... so awesome.
