The crème de la crème of female A-listers were in London town for the annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards last night - the likes of Naomi Watts, Jessica Alba and Sophie Vergara joined Fearne Cotton, Cat Dealey and Lily Allen for the wildest awards show this side of the pacific ocean.
Sadly though, most of the beauty we saw on the red carpet was a bit... well... bland. Maybe it was the heat and nobody could be bothered to make much of an effort but it was definitely a bit lacklustre. Luckily though I was saved from boredom by Lily Collins, who, although her Snow White movie got massively over shadowed by Kristen Stewart's, grabbed some attention with her amazing make up.
The daughter of Phil Collins emulated the fairytale princess she starred as: flawless skin with some beautifully applied blusher on the apples of her cheeks, fluttery eyelashes over iridescent gold eyeshadow, and the centrepiece of her look, those dramatic, blood-red lips. Her dark hair, wavy and falling over her shoulder, set the entire fairytale thing off.
Oh and as usual, I am entranced by Lily's perfectly groomed, surely soon-to-be-iconic eyebrows. They deserve awards.

Also there was Kelly Brook, Glamour Awards regular, who showed off the only interesting hairstyle we noticed. The model took a leaf out of Kate Middleton's book and wore her hair plaited from the front along the side of her head, going into a bun at the nape of her neck. Simple make up accompanied the style, with a very subtle bronze smoky eye and natural pink lips.
