The most exciting hair from the 2012 Met Gala
There might have been an overriding theme with the make up at this years Met Gala, but with the hair it was anything goes.
A few attendees went with the usual old Hollywood waves (Lana Del Rey and Jessica Alba), some did the classic red carpet updo (like Carey Mulligan who looked sensational), and everyone else kind of did their own crazy thing.
Kirsten Dunst took her Rodarte suit to greater heights (get it), wearing the star spangled gold headpiece that featured on the AW12 catwalk over her 20s waved bob, added some pizazz and life to the style and keeping her outfit looking too serious.
Also rocking a hair accessory was Emma Stone, who sported one of the most interesting looks from the red carpet: a "doll-like", whimsical updo created by Mara Roszak to compliment the feminine, playful Lanvin dress she wore consisting of a loose bun, with her fringe swept to the side and pinned in place with a crystal headpiece that matched her dress.
Coco Rocha was definitely the most playful with her look at the gala: the model took a leaf from Lauren Conrad's book and dip dyed her hair, a bold, eye-watering fuchsia to match her canary yellow Givenchy suit - previously owned by Elizabeth Taylor - and in homage to Elsa Schiaparelli who was known for her use of the colour.
Rihanna was pretty restrained (well, for her) when it came to the outfit this year, so maybe that's why she'd decided to experiment with her hair. The singer wore it in an updo which consisted of multiple buns, one of which hung over her forehead like a quiff.
