After the massive success of the black and white nail pens Models Own created with trendy east London salon WAH nails so that you could attempt to recreate the magic at home, we'd been wondering if they'd expand the range with more colours. Well it took a while, but thankfully they have!
The brand have introduced three new colours to the line; bright pink, yellow and blue and I had a quick (and untidy) experiment with them, which you can see below!
Just like the original black and white pens that have been so useful to us when doing our how to's (like our Zooey Deschanel tuxedo nails), these have two nibs: a long thin brush for painting and a tiny pin for more detailed work, like polka dots and thin lines. The designs on the white base (good old NARS Ecume) were done with the pin nib - you can see how exact and neat you can get the pattern. The ones with no base were done with the brush, which gives it a much looser, rustic finish. And it's great for painting on tips.
The primary colours are a great start as additions to the range - they make a nice little basic nail pen wardrobe. But we hope they start releasing more soon. We're waiting for gold and silver guys...
