Blake Lively is killing us with her latest beauty look, for the premiere of her new film Savages. She absolutely nails 1940s-inspired glam with Veronica Lake waves swept over one shoulder, and a classic Old Hollywood makeup look with red lippy and big lashes. To top it all off, she even has a beauty spot!

Not all of us are lucky enough to have Blake's naturally thick, long locks, but you can copy this look with hot rollers, hair set and a paddle brush. Apply lots of hair set, put the rollers into your hair with the parting already in place, using smaller ones at the front and larger at the back. Once they're completely cool, take them out and use the brush to very gently loosen the curls, especially on the 'narrow' side of the parting, where you also need to sweep all the hair around to the other side. Spritz with lots of shine spray and you're done.

The makeup calls for false lashes, a black or brown kohl liner as close to the base of the lashes as you can get, a heavy coverage foundation for a flawless complexion, and a matte red lipstick (try NARS for some of the best). This look needs constant top-ups, so invest in a pretty compact mirror so you can do so in style!

As if that wasn't enough, check out the nails...

Blake kept the 1940s theme going right down to her manicure, going for a typical 40s look with red polish and rounded tips and natural half-moons (a look we only usually see on Dita Von Teese. This is the ultimate high-maintenance manicure, with lots of places where the polish could chip or the nails could split. Still, we doubt a Hollywood star has to do much heavy lifting or typing on anything other than an iphone!
