Last week, we told you all about Clarins' new Enchanted Summer collection which was apparently inspired by India 'where traditional patterns and intense colour reign'. Well either we're having a bout of beauty themed deja-vu, or Indian themed make up is one hot trend this season. Tomorrow sees Chanel launch their new beauty collection entitled Bombay Express de Chanel which is described as "A lavish makeup collection inspired by an opulent vision of India".

Taking inspiration from the Far East, the collection was first showcased at Karl Lagerfeld's Autumn / Winter 2012 collection show held in Paris (check out the video below). The collection is a luxe mix of rich ornate glimmering golds, opulent pinks and jet blacks which transport you to India in an instant.
Our favourite piece from the limited edition collection has to be The Route Des Indes De Chanel illuminating powder with shimmer (below left), which has a beautiful paisley brocade print embossed into the palette and is supposed to give a real highlight to the cheekbones. There is also a warm pink toned cheek powder blush available in the collection too.

Another star piece for us has to be the Illusion D'Ombre (below left), which is a long wear eye shadow which, due to its gel-like texture, with the specially designed shadow/liner brush which is included you can also wear as an eye liner. The look here is a really heavy Kohl style liner effect and if you ask us, anything that can do that to your eyes (see picture above) is worth a purchase in our book.

Starting at £17, the collection launches tomorrow and is available exclusively in Harrods, Selfridges and House of Fraser. Or you can check out the full range here.
