A first look at the Balenciaga Florobotanica campaign starring Kristen Stewart has been released, with K-Stew pretty much just hanging out like K-Stew surrounded by fantastical flora and a near-life-size bottle of the perfume. She explained her lackluster pose in People Magazine:

"When I first stood there, I was like, 'OK, do you want me to show the curves of the dress? Do you want me to stand like this? Like that?' And they were like, 'Just be comfortable.'"

The ad was shot by Steven Meisel and has a futuristic vibe.

"There is something natural about it," Stewart said. "It's very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it -- considering that I've never worn a scent -- it kind of puts you on this level of, like, 'Whoa, check me out.'"

"I'm very lucky that I like the fragrance, because I would have done anything with [Nicolas Ghesquière],"she revealed. "And I'm a terrible liar."

Whew. Good thing, then. That's not going to make other companies nervous to work with her at all.

Florabotanica features notes of vetiver, amber and caladium-leaf accord, a (hybrid) rose, carnation and mint accord. Look for it to hit beauty counters in September.
