chanel_london_outside.jpgChanel's London store opened this week, and as we expected, we were right to be as excited as we were when he heard about it - it looks amazing.

Opened just in time for the start of the Olympics on Friday (everything seems to be!) the white walled 613-square-foot boutique is filled with sleek black counters - it wasn't too hard to guess the monochrome theme, although pops of colour are offering in the form of star and circle shaped lipstick installations on the walls. What a great way to display them, I might have to look into that for my bedroom... Les Vernis is also showcased in coordinating pantone style cubes.

Speaking of Les Vernis, downstairs is a nail salon where for £20 you can get a shape and polish, and the £20 is redeemable against purchase. Finally a way you can wear Chanel's newest most highly sought shades even if you missed the waiting list.

Other services at the store include make up and skin care consultations with make up artists there.

No sign of the rumoured make-up vending machines, although apparently there will be lots more surprises during their 6-month residence in Covent Garden so keep an eye out for them! Thoughts?
