Forget the Caviar manicure, Ciate's all about velvet now
We had an inkling that Ciaté would follow up their wildly successful Caviar manicure with a series of nail art kits, and they've proved us right - say hello to the Velvet Manicure!
For these kits, Ciate were inspired by McQueen, Balmain and Gucci Autumn/Winter 2012 collections. Along the same technique as the Caviar manicure, the velvet manicure kit includes a polish, a tube of shredded crushed velvet in the same colour and a brush. From pictures I've seen, it kind of looks like your nails are wearing tiny mohair jumpers. The kits will come in Berry Poncho (deep purple), Blue Suede (dark blue), and Mink Cashmere (light gray) and will no doubt be as popular as their predecessor (possibly more - as cool as the caviar mani looked, it was definitely not practical - beads everywhere).
It launches in August for £14 where it will be exclusive to Selfridges for the first four weeks of sale. Will you be giving it a go?
