With stores relaunching and introducing beauty halls to make them bigger, shinier and better than before (John Lewis, M&S, Chanel), it looks like retailers are making a big push to return customers to traditional shopping as opposed to online - Harvey Nichols is the latest store to do so with their new Beauty Bazaar.
The department store are aiming for this new shop to become the ultimate luxury beauty experience and the UK's first, one-stop destination for all things beauty. 'Beauty Bazaar, Harvey Nichols' will open this Autumn, offering products, brands and services all in a luxurious, 22,000 sq ft, three floor space in the Liverpool ONE shopping Centre.
The Ground Floor will be like a classic beauty hall, offering an array of beauty, skincare and fragrance brands and there'll be a dedicated Beauty Personal Shopper to offer advice and guidance.
On the First Floor will be open treatment services, including Mark Woolley's Electric Hair Lounge, a Blink Brow Bar and a Lash and Nail Bar, but the main attraction will be the lavish Champagne and Cocktail Bar which will give great views thanks to the floor to ceiling window front.
An express lift takes customers to the Second Floor where a more discreet range of services are housed in designated private areas, including STRIP wax boutique, spray tanning and Beyond MediSpa, which will offer teeth whitening, permanent makeup, Botox, fillers and body contouring treatments.
London-based graphic and interior design agency, Four IV, have been appointed to deliver this leading-edge retail space, and founding partner Chris Dewar-Dixon said, "It will be glamorous, exciting and energetic - a compelling beacon of beauty for all."
How exciting. Can't wait to see what other stores start coming up with.
