Jessica Biel was a guest at the ESPY Awards in LA earlier this week, and despite it being an event dedicated to sports, gave us a great beauty show with that gorgeous ponytail.
I love it when someone manages to make the somewhat overlooked ponytail into a red carpet worthy hairstyle - Jessica did it by adding a truckload of volume on the crown, transforming it into a kind of sixties style. Her fringe was pulled to the side and full eyelashes helped enhance the sixties feel, without it feeling like costume. Her hair colour is amazing too isn't it? So rich and glossy. And she's marrying Justin Timberlake. She must have been good in her past life.
Jessica's hairstylist Mara Roszak told Beauty High how she achieved the look.
"I usually like to blow dry the bangs first while they are still damp because they are easier to manipulate before thoroughly dry," said Roszak.
"Apply Phyto Volumactive root spray to damp hair and blow dry with a round brush, creating pin curls after each section," she instructed. "Spray all over lightly with Moroccan Oil Hairspray light. Remove the pins and gently brush out. Tease the crown and pull back into a mid-height pony. Wrap a bit of hair around the elastic and spray all over with Moroccan oil hairspray light."
Sounds pretty simple right? Will you be trying?
