Let me introduce you to my new love, Tom Ford Nail Lacquer in Burnished Rouge.
Isn't it gorgeous? I was head over heels for this as soon as I saw it. A deep metallic garnet colour with brown undertones and ruby red shimmer from the Spring Collection, it looks like a melted down version of a precious stone. It looks about as good in the bottle as it does on - housed in chunky square glass bottle with a golden brown lid with luxe gold accents.

As always from Tom Ford, you might pay a lot, but you get what you pay for. The formula applies extremely well, it's fluid enough that it glides on easily but is easy to control. The brush strokes are completely invisible once the lacquer dries and it has an excellent glossy finish that is barely improved by a top coat, due to the mirror pearls included in the formula to amp up the metallic effect.
If I do say so myself, I think this colour looks beautiful against pale skin - there's something very glamourous and retro about it - it'd definitely fit into the whole '20s vibe going on this autumn. Get it from Selfridges for £25.
