chanel_blue_illusion_line.jpgWhile we're still getting excited over Chanel's latest Haute Couture show, we still haven't forgotten about the last one for SS12 - well how could we, it took place on a jumbo jet - and Karl Lagerfeld's blue period. Peter Philips joined in too, creating one of the most highly anticipated nail polishes since Jade, Sky Line as part of his own blue period, Blue Illusion!

Although it was first thought that the line based on the show's look would be just a nail polish line, it actually turns out that Blue Illusion is a whole little make up collection of its own!

Inspired by travel and the freedom of that the colour blue symbolizes, the collection celebrates every shade, including "inky nights and clear lagoons".

The line features Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow appears in Apparition, a shimmery, pale shade of light blue, and Destination, a shimmery, darker, almost navy shade of blue. Le Crayon Yeux also features in Bleu Aérien, a metallic navy, and of course, the Les Vernis in Sky Line, a beautiful light sky blue with a pearl finish.

Blue Illusion will launch on July 13th, where it will be available at Chanel counters in Harrods, Selfridges W1, Selfridges Manchester Exchange, House of Fraser Glasgow and Fenwick Newcastle. What piece will you be buying?
