There are a lot of fairly useless apps out there, but a beauty app with tutorials you can play on your iPad or Android tablet sounds really cool! Kevin Murphy, often credited with pioneering the "beach hair" look, obviously thinks so too! KEVIN.MURPHY is launching an app later this month that will feature Murphy's latest editorial shoots, info on the latest products, previews of the holiday gift collections, and most interestingly to me - how to's.
The brand says: "'How to get the Surfer Girl Look' is now at your fingertips. This section gives users direct and fast access to Kevin's 'How too' podcasts. Watch and learn 'How to get Waves that last', 'How to do a Volume Dry'..... the list goes on."
You can also get access to behind-the-scenes action at photo shoots and a salon finder and info.
Murphy's Web site gives more background on the stylist. Melbourne born, he began his styling days as an apprentice in a Queensland salon and went on to train at the famous Vidal Sassoon in London.
With an international profile that has seen him work with leading fashion photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Robert Erdman and Richard Bailey, he has created styles for international editions of Vogue, Harper''s Bazaar, Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, Instyle, Rush, & GQ, among others.
Kevin has also lent his talent to the cinema, with work on Baz Luhrmann''s Moulin Rouge, and has styled celebrities including Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Selma Blair, Kylie Minogue, Dannii Minogue, Claudia Karvan, Enrique Iglesis, Vanessa Hudgens, Heidi Klum, Rose Byrne, Miranda Kerr, Catherine Mcneil, Jessica Hart and Abby Lee.
