ckone_nail_color.jpgWe're going to be doing a round up of Calvin Klein's new ckone color make up collection next week, but for Nails of the Week we thought we'd give you a little taster of it!

ck one long wear shine and nail color is part of the line's Add Intensity range, and to kick it off, it comes in ten colours varying from pale shades like the creamy white point blanc, neutral's like the nude mashup, and brights like I think not (love that name).

We tried two shades - wasteland, a dark metallic grey, and polyester, a khaki green. The formula's are really nice actually - they apply very well, are the right amount of fluid without being watery and hard to control, and I actually think they don't smell as strongly as usual varnish does. The brush is really good too - the type of rounded square I like (it goes very well with my nail shape) which means it's easy to guide along the base of the nail. It might sound strange but I also really like the big, chunky lid - it really helps to keep your hand steady.

As for colours, wasteland is my favourite of the two - a stormy dark grey the colour of clouds when it's about to rain. Polyester looked quite metallic in the bottle but came out quite matte. They look very good together though, quite utilitarian don't you think?

These will both be available at Debenhams for £9 when the collection launches on Monday!
