I now think of OPI as something like the MAC of nail polish - they seem to announce a new collection and celebrity collaboration like every week! The latest famous face to put their talents to polish designing for the brand? Mariah Carey!
The singer will design two collections for OPI - two! - an eight-piece one that will launch in January 2013 and then another to be released later in the year.
Mariah is very happy to have been asked to do this - in fact she already has some beauty experience you know, so she's totally in her comfort zone.
"I actually went to beauty school in 11th grade so I could have something to fall back on, so believe me, I've done my share of manicures as well as getting them," she said. "OPI knows that the polish you use makes a big difference not only in the look, but in the care of your nails and that's why I believe in the brand."
So what do you think we can expect? WWD writes that the singer says her shades of choice are usually nudes, she's recently been wearing metallic and pastel shades. I'm thinking along the lines of the Minnie Mouse collection. Either way there's definitely going to be some pink and glitter in there right?
