david koma hair 2 ss13 1.jpgDavid Koma is always one of the shows we most look forward to going backstage at during London Fashion Week - this season, ghd were back again to do the hair for the show, channelling a glamourous tennis player.

To do this, ghd's Creative Director utilised his plaiting skills again, creating a smooth, sleek braid with three sections of hair. Separated into top, middle and bottom, the top section was held out of the way so stylists could create a smooth, slicked down side with the middle section, using a lot of Final Fix Hairspray, and tying it into a pony at the back.

The top section was then divided into layers, with the roots of each layer being brushed with a gel Kenna made from two parts Total Volume Foam and one part Smooth and Fix Serum, and then smoothed back over and 'gently' plaited down into the pontail. The bottom section was then also plaited and the two braids were tightly tied together at the base.

I love the way the top section so beautifully almost just falls into that braid, and so easy - we will definitely be copying that. As for make up, which was by Stila, models were given the after effects of a enegertic session on the courts, with flushed cheeks and peachy, coral lips, 'as if they'd been biting them'. According to Sarah Lucero, Stila's Pro Artist, liner is going to be big for SS13, so she used a white to line the lower lashline, evoking the chalk you find on the tennis court.

Nails by Nail Rock topped off the beauty, in a corresponding black and white net pattern.
