ghd creative director Kenna took inspiration from the sixties influence in PPQ's SS13 collection, and pumped the hair full of retro volume. Like we saw at Clements Ribeiro, a faux bob was the order of the day, but instead of tucking the hair underneath to hide it, it was a high ponytail that did the job.
Stylists prepped hair with ghd Style Root Lift Spray, pulling up the roots as it was blasted with the ghd air to inject volume. The ghd Gold Classic styler was then run down the side sections to create shine and sleekness, and then they were pulled tight on either side. The top section of hair was backcombed and the rest was plaited and pinned around a doughnut, over which a fake ponytail was fastened. The stylers were used to go over the pony, curling it under and the ends and creating a polished finish with ghd Style Final Fix Hairspray.
Really clever way to do a faux bob, and if you have super long hair, bet it could be quite easy too.
