We've been desperate to get our hands on the Marilyn Monroe MAC collection ever since we first heard about it all the way back in February and now we have!
We've swatched a few pieces from the huge collection - without further ado... Charmed I'm Sure (£15.50) is a dark, true red lipstick with a slight blue undertone. For a matte formula it has a great consistency, not drying or stiff, but creamy and smooth and very easy to apply. Possibly it is slightly too slick in application because it does feather slightly, which maybe is a symptom of them trying to improve their matte formulas. It has a slight gloss at first which wears down into a dry finish. Also be warned - this will stain so be careful when you apply - it might help to use a lip pencil with it. It's a really nice colour though, and wore surprisingly well on my pale skin. The Phiff! dazzleglass (£18.50) is a really pretty super glittery sheer yellow peach gloss.

We also tried one of the two powder blushers in the collection, Legendary (£19), which I love. It's a soft coral colour that has a slightly shiny satin finish and slight shimmer. This would work best on paler complexions (like Marilyn's) - it delivers a subtle, natural looking flush that can be built up, but might not show very well on those with darker skin.

The MAC Marilyn Monroe collection will be out in the UK in October, although US readers can find it at maccosmetics.com already (lucky things).
