This weeks Nails of the Week come courtesy of Karl Lagerfeld's collection for shu uemura.
For his collection he's created three colours for nails: Royal Biege (beige obvs), Karl Black (he had to name something after himself) and Mon Shu Red. We tried the black and the red.
Karl Black is a jet black filled with silver, and I think red, micro glitter. It's not actually that sparkly, the glitter particles just provide an unusual flecked, space-like effect. Mon Shu red is designed to match the Mon Shu red lipstick, which is Karl's idea of a true red: quite a bright, orange toned, tomato-y shade.
The most exciting part of this is that each nail polish comes with a sheet of nail stickers featuring a red and black dot design and tiny images of Mon Shu for you to adorn your nails with! With this, and those nails from the Haute Couture Fashion Week earlier this year, it look likes Karl is a definite nail art fan. I'd never tried shu uemura nail polish before, but it is brilliantly long lasting, and so nice to apply. Great formula.
