chanel_ss13_makeup_beauty.jpgWe're used to seeing some amazingly dramatic and theatrical make up from Peter Phillips, the brains behind Chanel's beauty (remember the pearl embellished complexions from last year's spring/summer show, the gemstone encrusted eyebrows from AW12 or the pastel wigged, punky Marie Antoinette's of the Cruise collection?) but for SS13 it's all a bit more... normal.

This look, as with most Chanel shows, was all about the eye. A pale blueish silver pearlescent shadow was swept right over the eyelid and up and into the eyebrows, as well as in the inner corners of the eye and underneath slightly. Over this, a dark black cat eye was painted, with the lower line drawn just slightly below the natural lashline. Lots of silver in the inner corners helped to add light and open the eyes, as did the super curled and defined eyelashes.

A super shiny pink lipgloss topped off the look. Oh and for the first time in ages it looks like we won't have a new nail polish to obsess over - nails sported a basic French manicure. Boo.
