Chanel's Mother's Day flower market
Yesterday we got a special preview of Chanel's latest bright idea - they've set up a flower stall at their Covent Garden Make Up store, especially for Mother's Day!
Don't run down there just yet though - the stall is gone now, but it'll be back sitting outside the store on the 8th, 9th and 10th of March, filled with beautiful arrangements of May Rose, Jasmine, Iris, Tuberose and Patchouli - all signature elements of Chanel's iconic fragrances.
The best news is that the arrangements are complimentary! Head to the store and buy any 100ml bottle of fragrance (you can have a chat with one of the on hand fragrance experts if you're not sure what your mum likes), and the team will make you up a hand-tied posy of flowers to take away with you, free. The the in-house calligrapher will also write out a message for the bouquet on a camelia embossed card with a choice of quotes from Coco herself. Such a great idea - fingers crossed it becomes a permanent fixture!
It's too early to give my mum her Mother's Day gift, so I'll just have to keep mine...
Also, perfume fact for you: it takes SEVEN YEARS to extract the scent from an Iris. So take care of that Chanel No.19 Poudré.
