Dr Murad is a skincare brand that does more than cleanse and moisturize the skin- there's a whole wealth of science and research behind every product, and a philosophy that is upheld throughout the brand. Dr Murad introduces his range as a three pronged approach- topical care, internal care and emotional self care. He does this by providing products for the skin, vitamins to ingest and a book which asks people to truly examine themselves and their lifestyle choices.
He calls his concept 'Eat Your water' and stresses that most of us aren't getting enough liquid- as we should be taking in water in other forms than water- that it's more easily absorbed through foods such as oranges for example. He says, '8 glasses a day can dehydrate you as you're running to the bathroom- eat your water with foods rich in amino acids and lipids'.
He's just launched his first ever makeup range, but naturally there's more to Dr Murad Hybrids than beauty alone. They're called Hybrids as he considers them 'skincare products with cosmetic benefits' and this includes two primers (one matte, one dewy) and two eye highlighters.
I've been playing with them for a few weeks now and am happy to share my full review with you now.

Taylor Swift appeared at the New York Macy's store (in Tracy Reese) to launch her new fragrance Wonderstruck. But fans at Macy's Atlanta, Miami, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Houston, Memphis, San Francisco and Rancho Cucamonga stores as well as on Macys.com, Elizabetharden.com and Swift's Facebook page could all attend the event virtually. Macy's is calling it the first national fragrance launch.
"A personal appearance is great because it gets a celebrity out there, but it's limiting," said Elizabeth Park, evp, North America Marketing for Elizabeth Arden to WWD. "This gives us the opportunity to reach out to millions."
Think she's exaggerating? Swift has 26 million Facebook fans alone.

Celebrities are blessed with flawless skin, sure. But they also have access to the best products in the world. It can be a toss up when a company says a celebrity is a "fan" of their product - it can simply mean that the star received the product in a gift bag and nothing more. Or it can really mean the person uses this product on a regular basis. It's hard to know, so I tend to regard such claims as dubious. But two products I've been pitched lately as having hoards of celebrity fans are products I know work and are high quality. So I'm more likely to believe the celebs really use them, and I honestly don't care either way - they're good products!
Per-fekt Beauty recently sent out an email with a quote from Blake Lively about their Skin Perfection Gel: "The trick is to apply Skin Perfection Gel with your finger-tips for an evened out skin-tone, I love the glow it gives to my skin." I'm not saying I get Blake's poreless skin when I use Skin Perfection Gel, but it definitely evens out my complexion and acts as a great primer under foundation. Other celeb fans include Victoria Beckham, Elle Macpherson, Katy Perry, Megan Fox and Reese Witherspoon.

Heading for the weekend with the honour and glory of winning Nails of the Week this week is Kate, whose creation in beige and black triumphed over the rest of us (just followed by my own MAC khaki and gold nails).
Kate did her nails herself using Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail Polish (£4.59) in Beige Babe, and drawing on the dots with the Models Own Black Nail Art Pen (£6).
Awes.
We told you way back in July that Giles Deacon was planning a nail varnish collection for New Look, and here are the first pictures!
Not only do we have pictures, but we also have more detail - it's not just going to be nails: Gold by Giles will also include false eyelashes!
The nail polish will retail for £2.99 each, come in 12 different colours, and various finishes including gloss, crackle and metallic. As well as these are the nail wraps we told you about, with prints designed by Giles himself, at £5.99, and four styles of self-adhesive false lashes at £4.99 (I'm particularly excited to see the ones 'accented with gold', according to The Telegraph). They'll be online at newlook.com at the end of the month.
Check after the cut for more images of the collection, and tell us what you think in the comments.

To support her Viva Glam campaign for MAC, Lady Gaga and her stylist Nicola Formichetti produced a short film to reveal The Masterpiece, a dress they designed for the charity.
The dress - I say dress, but it's really a leotard with a train attached - was inspired by the 'universal beige' colour of Gaga's 2011 Viva Glam lipstick, and printed with images of the faces of her fans. It also comes with matching face covered shoes.
Check out the mini-film, and more images from behind-the-scenes, after the cut!

I'm a big fan of creamy cleansers so when the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Rich Cream Cleanser popped onto my desk I was excited to give it a try. I have combination skin which often flares up in the autumn so needed something that was strong enough to remove all my makeup but gentle enough not to make me break out.
I'm a fan of Bobbi Brown's products in general, she's known for her flattering array of shades and the way that she really seems to think through the thought process behind every release. For example- the squeezy bottle has a hinged lid- a small thing to do, but one that makes it so much easier to seal when you have wet hands. It's the attention to details that makes me love her products, and this cleanser has just made it to my October top list.
