A sun protection cream that offers anti wrinkle capabilities? Sign me up! Such is the offer of the Decleor Aroma Sun Expert Ultra Protective Anti-Wrinkle Cream SPF 50, and I've had the chance to try this out recently on holiday.

We all know that most of our skin ageing comes through sun damage, and the Kiss and Makeup team is very against the broiled lobster look, so having these two factors combined gets us very curious and excited.

Decleor is a brand known for their high quality products that use ingredients found in nature to offer relief to our skin. Figures reveal that over 60% of women have sensitive skin and 90% of changes in the skin are due to sun damage (these are from a Decleor survey) and their new sun cream attempts to protect us from all this.

I was a little wary at first of using an SPF 50 cream as I thought it might be to heavy and greasy for my skin, but Decleor have worked on making the formulation light and the cream was very milky and sank in quickly and easily. The cream features a Sol-Collagen anti ageing complex and Tahitian Rea to brighten the skin, and I was pleased as how quickly it was absorbed.

Did it work?

Well, in varying degrees of heat my skin remained the same milky colour it usually is, minus a spot on my nose I forgot to cover that went a delightful red shade. I didn't break out or suffer any sensitivity the next day, and this all means that the cream was 100% effective. I can't really say if there were any major anti ageing effects as I use so many other serums at the same time, but I felt happier being more protected and glad I was keeping my skin safe. I really liked how light this SPF50 was and think it's great that we all become more sun aware in general.

We've all learnt the value of face primers in recent years- they help foundation adhere to the skin, add a luminosity to the complexion and give you an overall inner glow which I find very pleasing.

I was curious about MeMeMe's offering of the Seventh Heaven Primer as they're a beauty brand, not a skincare brand, so would they live up to the hype?

The primer, a.k.a the MeMeMe Moisturising facebase comes in small pot, and is applied by fingers and blended in. The texture is lightly creamy with a little weight to it and feels nice to the fingers. It's enriched with Shea Butter and Vitamin A and slides in easily, sitting well on the face and feeling nice and creamy without being too oily. It has a faint scent of lemon and orange, but this is very innocuous and doesn't overpower at all, just leaves a light trace on the skin, as if you've passed through a fine fruit mist.

The primer gives the skin a lovely glow, and really drew attention to my cheekbones, as the light really seemed to be drawn there and this works well as a skin highlighter as well as a base. I also used this with foundation and it did seem to make the product last longer as I didn't need to top up my base before a night out and I felt it added an extra dimensional quality to my trusty Clinique foundation.

Overall, I think this is a great product if you're looking to prime your skin, and the extra glow is produces means you can go sans foundation if you're brave enough.

But before you rush to the fridge, it wasn't everyday hair maintenance - it was an emergency. The actress revealed that she'd had a hair disaster when she'd made the regrettable decision to dye her blonde hair brown.

Sienna told Marie Claire, "I've had some real hair disasters. I once used henna to dye my hair brown for an audition, thinking I was being clever as it's all natural."

"Little did I know it was the worst thing I could have done as it coats the follicles so that nothing else can penetrate," she continued. "So I ended up having to put ketchup in it for about a year to get rid of the green tinge.."

Ketchup in hair to get rid of green is actually quite a well known trick - I've known many a blonde who's had to get out the Heinz after an unfortunate chlorine incident (the trick is that the acid in the tomato helps to lift the colour).

Other beauty mistakes made by Sienna include the time she wore false eyelashes: "I once made the mistake of going for a whole row of false eyelashes, which was just wrong as it gave me a sad, puppy-eyed look."

She's learned her lesson now though: she sticks to a few individual ones in the middle of the lashline: "[They] look amazing and really open up your eyes," she said.

No-one seems to care though: at the Met Ball, the usual star standby of pillarbox red and old Hollywood eyeliner was eschewed in favour of a gothic, vampy dark stain, ranging from purpley-red like on Camilla Belle to deep burgundy shades like the one sported by Kate Bosworth, and more recently, Jennifer Lopez!

The singer slash actress vamped up for the LA Premiere of her new movie What to Expect When You're Expecting (which we saw the other day, by the way, it's really funny) paired her dramatic lip colour perfectly with a taupe and bronze smokey eye and sunkissed skin, sensibly keeping her hair simple and tied back at the nape of her neck.
The eyeliner trend first appeared on catwalks during SS12 fashion month and by the time AW11 rolled around it was everywhere. One of the biggest trends for summer, how you dress your eyes has moved on from the innocent, babydoll look of full, fluttery lashed doe eyes in favour of a heavy dose of toughness.

"But wait!" you might say. "Eyeliner is always around, it's a staple, how can it be a trend?!" The difference is that in this instance, the eyeliner (and more importantly, what you can do with it) is the focus. The shape, thickness and placement of the line (or swirl, or flick) has to be attention grabbing and statement making - no smudging either, this is about precision.

Apart from this, anything goes! Don't worry if you're thinking there's no way you can sport the dramatic look: thankfully this is a trend with many variations.

'Graphic eyeliner' was the version we saw at most shows and included everything from bold, squared off lines to styles that were half make up, half magic like Erdem's floating flicks and Gareth Pugh's 3D white plastic lines created by Alex Box. The graphic eyeliner trend is the most concentrated form of tough-girl, like we saw backstage at Danielle Scutt's SS12 show, where 'council estate chic' was created with a warpaint-like block under one eye.

Disjointed, flowing eyeliner like ancient script was another favourite: a great way to give a classic black eyeliner a complete twist, by applying it in curved lines around the eye instead of on the lashline as normal. Topshop have a great tutorial for this one here if you want to check it out. You need to have a steady hand, a creative flair and a good eyeliner for this trend - Topshop's Felt Pen Eyeliner (£6.50) is perfect for great usability and excellent precision, which is key with this look.

If you want to retain a bit of femininity with the trend, try a-not-so-classic flick: give the classic French flick a twist by elongating it towards the end of the eyebrow, like at Jonathan Saunders, or creating a double flick at the outer corner. Try a double-ended flick too, tapering the line past the inner corner of your eye towards your nose like at LAMB. If you haven't got a steady hand, try Eye Rock's Designer Liner (£7): a collection of eyeliner transfers completely take the difficulty out of the equation and could become your secret weapon.

Flicks and cats eyes always look best paired with pretty lashes: for a beautiful accompaniment to a cats eye, Eylure's Individual False Eyelashes (£5.35) are perfect, with three different lengths so you can create a brilliant flared lash just at the corners. As for mascara, Bobbi Brown's Intensifying Long-Wear mascara (£18) delivers a beautiful fanned finish, but it's the lasting time of this that has really impressed me - it lasts from morning to night without flaking crumbling away.

For a work friendly version of the look, just expand your basic line, making it thick, bold and chunky with a squared-off end: Maybelline's Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner (£7.99) is excellent for this kind of style.

This year, Chanel's Cruise 2012-2013 show took place at Versailles, the former home of King Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette, and the beauty completely reflected the surroundings.

Models strode down the catwalk (which was actually a path around one of the breathtaking fountains that are scattered across the grounds) in thick candy-coloured wigs in green and pink (although here and there black wigs were dotted), powdered to dull them down to a soft, chalky pastel hue like they would have been by the royal inhabitants of the palace. The short, cheekbone length wigs were fixed over a long ponytail, tied with a huge ribbon, giving a punky, rock 'n' roll vibe to the sugar sweet style.

Girly with a edgy twist was the look of the show: peaches and cream complexions were created with Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Rose Pétale over a light base so that skin wasn't so heavy or "historical" and lips were dabbed with Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Evasion . Le Crayon Khôl eyeliner in Clair was appiled on the waterline of the eyes to give some subtle definition, and Chanel Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Rose Favorite was applied over the eyelid right up to the eyebrows, darkened to break up the heavily pink look with a shot of masculinity.

The finishing touch? A classic Marie Antoinette beauty mark given a Chanel makeover: two C's intercrossed, placed under the eye. If you like it good news: the velvet symbols will be available as part of the upcoming Collection Versailles de Chanel makeup line.

Beauty is my absolute favourite thing in the world, but it does have a close second and that second is food. More specifically, cake and desserts. Laduree is basically my spiritual home. So obviously anything that manages to combine the two things is completely talking my language, and I know I'm not alone - there's a reason why macaroon inspired make up is so popular.

This obsession with cake is also one of the reasons why I love philosophy's shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath so much: apart from the fact that they're wonderfully lathery, and last for ages, they're almost always scented with something delicious that I want to eat, the recipe for which is on the front of the bottle. I only really realised this the other day when I was smelling the Frosted Cookie one (£14) (it smells amazing, by the way, kind of like calpol), and I wondered whether the recipe would actually work. So as a seasoned baker I decided to try it out!

So, first of all since the recipe is in American measurements I had to translate it all from cups to grams. For this I used Delia Online (thanks Delia).

After measuring everything out, you first cream the butter, shortening (that is, essentially, lard - it's supposed to give texture...) and sugar, so it goes from this:

To this - a nice, light pale mixture:

Then you add two eggs and whisk:

Then you mix the dry ingredients - flour, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt - together, add them to the creamed sugar mixture and whisk again till you get a dough like this:

Roll the dough out on a floured surface (the dough is quite sticky due to the fat content so you're going to need quite a heavily floured surface, and maybe on top and on the rolling pin) and cut some shapes out!

You can use a glass if you don't have a cookie cutter, but I had a pretty heart one:

Put your cookies onto a greaseproof paper covered baking tray, wide enough apart so they don't merge when they're cooking (and they will try):

Bake them for about 9 minutes at about 180°C till they're golden brown and ice them with your buttercream frosting dyed pink (I couldnt find ready made frosting so I made some
using this), and viola! philosophy Pink Frosted Cookies!

Taste-wise, well, they were fine - the biscuit mixture could have done with some vanilla or something but for a basic recipe it was pretty good! I wish I'd been able to find metallic pink food colouring though to match the bottle. Philosophy - you guys should really think about launching a cookbook, we'd totally buy it. After all the fun we had with this, we're on a roll, so stay tuned next week for philosophy Sugar Chick Sugar Coated Marshmallows! And when summer gets here we're starting on the cocktails. All in the name of work, obviously.

Since it's basically all about beauty (there's even a Benefit makeup kit), we've been very excited about the Snow White and the Huntsman movie: the release date is inching closer (30th May) and yesterday the world premiere took place in London!

This meant that Kristen Stewart was back on our great shores, promoting her new movie and trying with all her might to remember to smile at the cameras instead of flip them off. You can tell by her clenched fists.

Anyway, thankfully, the Snow White actress made much more of an effort for this than she did for the Met Ball (she looked so dishevelled she made it into our Worst Beauty List), and actually had her hair up (just like Kate Middleton did)! At first when I saw her windswept front view I was unimpressed, but at the back Kristen's hair was pulled into a bun and a gold link chain was wound around it: a nod to the medieval styling of the movie. Great effort, we love an adorned bun.

As for makeup, metallic smokey eyes were Kristen's choice, with a silver base shadow darkening to grey as it flared outwards, and black liner on the waterline to give some definition. Glossed lips and bare skin finished her look, which was all in all a bit boring I was hoping for some blood red lips, but again we have to be grateful for improvement, right?

But probably my choice for fairest of them all (I'm sorry, it had to be done) was Charlize Theron who looked show stopping in a Christian Dior gown and seemed to have coordinated her look with Kristen: both were in black sheer gowns and both went for smokey eyes! Charlize went for a more punchy, mature look with a dark silver shadow on the inside that dramatically graduated to black towards her browbone. Her hair was kept simple, with a deep side parting and rolled at the side.

Check out the gowns in full at Catwalk Queen and watch the trailer below!

Well given how super excited we are about NARS' upcoming collection inspired by pop art legend Andy Warhol, and how little information we have on it (basically all we know is that it is happening), you can imagine how happy we were when NARS released a video teaser!

But our excitement was short lived because it is maybe the most pointless teaser ever made. It tells us exactly nothing. At first I thought there might be a clever hidden message or image of some products in the reflections on the silver balloons, but on careful examination I've deduced that that was just wishful thinking. All we have is a logo.

Sigh. Check out the 12-second video above and tell us if you spot anything.

I know, I can barely believe it either.

Kate's new look was created, as usual, by her trusted hairdressers from the Richard Ward salon in London. After all our moaning about her continuous half-up, half-down hairstyles, the royal surprised us by departing from the usual style in favour of an elaborate bun, wound with a number of plaits in a clockwise spiral motion.

Even Kate's make up was a little different! Her eyes, still in their typical smokey style, were darker and more dramatic than usual, lined in a cat eye fashion and flicking out at the outer corners.

What do you think of Kate's new look? We hopes she keeps it up (mainly because she'll probably attend loads of Olympic stuff and it'd be nice to be able to report something interesting).

We told you a couple of months back all about the new Caviar Manicure from Ciate, and if you haven't seen it by now, you a) must have been walking around beauty land with your eyes closed and b) must check it out in full here. Now.

We journeyed down to Selfridges yesterday, to go and get the 3D manicure done for ourselves and we thought we'd share the experience with you guys. It was actually a pretty simple process that you could definitely do at home no probs, and at £18 for the full set which would do multiple times, its an absolute beauty steal. Check out our step by step guide to doing the Ciate Manicure yourselves below...

1.	Remove entire plastic tray from the packaging and lift off top cover. This cover will be used as your tray to collect any excess Caviar pearls.
2.	Remove all traces of nail polish from your nails and do a quick file and shape.

3.	Put one thin coat of the Ciate Paint Pot shade on all of your nails.

4.	Apply the second coat of the Ciate Paint Pot shade on a single nail one at a time. Whilst it's still wet, place your newly painted nail over the tray and sprinkle the Caviar pearls over.

5.	Once fully covered, gently press and compact the pearls into your nail bed to ensure durability.

6.	Tap your finger to shake off any excess.
7.	Repeat the process from step 4 for all of your nails.

8.	Place the mini funnel into the Caviar pearls bottle and tilt the tray to return the excess beads to the pot.
9.	Once finished leave to dry for 15- 20 minutes.
10.	To remove just soak a cotton wool ball in nail varnish remover, hold for 10 seconds, then wipe.

You can get your hands on the Ciate Caviar Manicure nail sets at Selfridges for £18 HERE where they come in three shades, Black, White and Multicoloured. This week she's Goth Katy!

The singer has streaked the purple hair she debuted during Coachella with black, and dyed the roots darker too (that's not her colour growing out, she's a natural blonde)! To match her darker look, she took a leaf out of the attendees of the Met Gala earlier this week and gothed up her makeup too.

Katy smoked up her eyes, using a grey eyeshadow across the eyelid and ringed the lashline in black eyeliner, which she topped with her trademark fake eyelashes. Beautifully painted dark berry red lipstick sealed the gothic look - the whole thing was actually very similar to Lana Del Rey's Met Ball look... maybe they've been sharing tips?

For me anyway this has never worked, one because I am too forgetful, but mostly because you have to take like three giant capsules every time you eat a meal and who has time for that? Not me.

Anyway, if you make sure you're getting everything you need in your diets already, you won't need supplements and you could save hundreds of pounds on skincare products designed to fix what could be fixed yourself with a little diet revamp. It can be hard though to know what exactly you need to keep yourself looking beautiful from the inside, and even then where those beautifying vitamins and minerals essential for your skin, hair and nails are hiding, but when you do, it could literally change your life. After all there's a reason Lady Gaga says those spinach smoothies are her only skincare secret... well apart from sex.

So we did a little research and found out what exactly you need, and where you can find it!

Vitamin A
This comes in two types: pre-formed retinol from animal sources, and carotenoids from plant sources. Retinol is one of the animal form of Vitamin A, which in the body is converted to retinoic acid, which is a key part of anti-ageing treatments like Retin A because of its skin renewing properties. Obviously eating lots of Vitamin A isn't going to give you the same result on your skin as using Retin A, but making sure you get enough in your diet will keep the skin healthy, regulate sebum production (the oil that is secreted from the Sebaceous glands, which contributes to acne), and help treat photo damage, stretchmarks, and cellulite.

Vitamin D
Vitamin D is produced in the body as a reaction to summer sunlight on the skin and can't actually be found in many foods. Vitamin D promotes differentiation in cells, which is when stem cells are converted into more useful skin cells, helping regeneration. It is said to replenish hydration and boost skins elasticity, help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, and correct sun damage and dark spots.

Vitamin C
Vitamin C is an antioxidant - and we all know how important they are! Among other things, Vitamin C regulates collagen synthesis and helps form barrier lipids, which protect skin cells from moisture loss, keep the immune system of the skin healthy and functioning well. Without a strong lipid barrier, the skin can be prone to bacteria-related acne, eczema, rosacea-type inflammation, atopic dermatitis, and skin congestion. So Vitamin C is very important. Your body can't store Vitamin C, so you need to make sure your daily diet has lots in it.

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is an antioxidant which is stored by the body in the cell membrane, protecting it from oxidative damage, working to prevent the multiplication of free radicals and, like Vitamin C, protecting the skins lipids (see Vitamin C).

Others
Aside from vitamins, there are minerals, oils and fats found in food that are crucial to our outward health. Essential Fatty Acids, like Omega-3 and Omega-6, play a big role in the health of our skin and nails. They regulate cell function, transferring waste by dissolving the fatty deposits that block pores, keep the cell walls strong, so they retain the water they need to stay hydrated, and help to repair skin from damage like scarring. They also keep the hair and scalp well-nourished and nails healthy, stimulating growth and preventing them from being dry or brittle.

As we know, Iron is very important for the body anyway - especially women - as it helps make red blood cells which carry oxygen around the body, but it also has a big effect on the hair. As an example - my sister was very anaemic a few years ago, and her hair became limp, dull and greyish. As soon as the doctor put her on iron supplements, it went back to a rich brown and became thicker and shinier than ever. So chances are if you've noticed your hair hasn't been its vitality-emitting self, you might have a slight iron deficiency.

That's what you need for your hair, skin and nails; here's where to find it.

Liver
Liver is the strongest source of Vitamin A, so that's the easiest way to get it into your system. The NHS advises that you only need 1.5mg of Vitamin A per week (too much can contribute to osteoporosis) so only eat liver or pate once a week and don't take any supplements if you do.

Fruits
Most berries, like blueberries, strawberries and blackberries, are packed with antioxidents and Vitamin C. Oranges are actually not that high a source of Vitamin C: strawberries, blackcurrants, kiwis and especially guava, are all much higher in Vitamin C levels. Rose hip is also a very high source of Vitamin C (which is why it's such a popular ingrediant in skincare products).

Vegetables
Obviously vegetables contain loads of stuff your body needs. Bright coloured veggies like carrots, pumpkin and sweet potato contain beta-carotin, which in the body is converted into Vitamin A. Green, leafy vegetables are full of Vitamin E: this includes turnips, Collard greens and spinach. People think spinach is full of iron, which it is, but as fate would have it, it also contains a substance that makes it harder for the body to absorb the iron from it. Terrible design. But aside from that, it's also full of calcium, Vitamin A and C. Red peppers are also very high in Vitamin C (more than oranges), as is broccoli. Avocados are very rich in Vitamin E, as well as B vitamins.

Lentils
Lentils are rich in iron and also zinc, which helps us process carbohydrate, fat and protein in food.

Nuts
Nuts like almonds and hazelnuts are very rich in Vitamin E, as are walnuts, which (as well as pecans) are also a source of omega-6 fatty acids. If you can help it, eat them raw - they have more nutritional value that way.

Fish
You can find loads of great things in oily fish: they're a good source of Vitamins A and D, are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and contain B-vitamins, Vitamin D and iron. Oily fish include salmon, trout, mackerel, sardines, herring and anchovies. There's a reason why your mum always tried to make you eat Cod liver oil: it has insane levels of Vitamin D, with 210 mgs per 100g. One spoonful a day could do wonders (even if it does taste disgusting).

Apple cider vinegar
Slightly off-topic, but a 2009 study on mice showed that consuming acetic acid - which is the active component in ACV - "upregulates the expression of genes for fatty acid oxidation enzymes in the liver". Basically this means it causes suppression in body fat accumulation, so it might be useful if you're trying to slim down. Drink a teaspoon in water a day.

It might have been a happy surprise for us, but Christian sees it as an obvious, natural progression. "The beauty adventure is a natural extension for someone like me, who likes to empower women and to be a part of creating beauty seems like the right next step" he said.

The line will be created with Batallure Beauty, who have previously worked with brands like Sephora and Marchesa.

"We are delighted to collaborate with Christian Louboutin to translate his world-renowned creative vision into the luxury beauty world," says the Chairman & Co-Founder of Batallure Beauty, Robin Burns. "Wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes completely transforms a woman and Christian will bring that same transformative quality to women through his beauty products."

"Christian Louboutin understands how women want to see themselves - stylish, compelling and beautiful," added Sam Ghusson, Batallure President & CEO. "We look forward to partnering with Christian in building Christian Louboutin Beauté into a significant business."

The line will launch late 2013, so it's still quite a while away - but we really can't wait to see what they come up with. Red packaging is a given no? And maybe products named after corresponding shoes?
